Roxy - Honorary Breast Cancer Survivor Joins The Susan G. Komen Dog Walk!

California GSP Rescue Dog Roxy is going to be the Honorary Survivor for the 2014 Susan G. Komen San Diego Dog Walk this Year!The walk will take place at Liberty Square in San Diego on September 21st.Roxy, who recently underwent a triple mastectomy has been asked to be the Honorary Canine Survivor for the 2014 Susan G. Komen Dog Walk!Last summer Roxy developed hard lumps in her mammary tract and underwent surgery to remove five hard lumps. This past winter Jennifer, Roxy's Foster Mom discovered 3 more lumps and it was back to the vet, which resulted in a triple mastectomy! Since then, she's been doing much better, though there is always the chance she may develop more tumors.Jennifer keeps an eye on her and rubs her belly often, checking...checking. Her flare-ups don't occur as much anymore, but Jennifer is always concerned the tumors may return.The California GSP Rescue will be there to support Roxy and bring awareness about Canine Breast Cancer.Watch our website for more information about the event, and updates on Roxy!
