Meet Gunner!

Gunner is an 11 year old male liver and white ticked German Shorthaired Pointer. Gunner was surrendered to us along with Duke Jr. when their owner's circumstances changed and could no longer care for them.Gunner gets along well with other large dogs, but does not do well with small dogs, as his owner tells us he was attacked by a small dog, and does not like them getting near him. Gunner would also not be a candidate for a cat home.Gunner is very well behaved, and has been an inside dog, and is house-trained. He walks well on a leash with very little pulling, and has been a running companion with his previous owner. We are told he could even run farther than his buddy half his age, Duke Jr!He does not jump fences or dig, and he loves to ride in the car. He knows a few commands, sit and shake, and will rarely bark except when the doorbell rings.  We have been told that Gunner has good kitchen manners, and does not beg for food or counter surf.While Gunner and Duke Jr. came into the rescue together, they do not need to be adopted together.
