Philly
Philly is a 6-month-old female German Shorthaired Pointer. Her owner dumped her with three littermates alongside a road, and a concerned citizen picked up the four pups and contacted the local shelter.
Philly is all puppy. Active and energetic. She loves getting attention and playing with other well-behaved young dogs. She knows her boundaries and respects the other dogs when they don't want to play.
She is smart and is a great age to start training - although GSP’s are never too old to train. She is pretty active and will need someone that can exercise her enough to tire her out and still be able to work on training.
Like most young GSP’s, Philly will do best in a home that can manage a puppy. That means keeping her out of trouble and keeping items that aren't dog toys (shoes, socks, small things that can be swallowed) away from her. She will need to be house-trained, but we suspect using the proper method, she will learn quickly.

Very treat motivated
Likes stealing toys that the other dogs hide
Very clingy once you give her affection
Philly is a puppy and, if you aren't familiar with GSP’s, this is probably not the age for you. However, if you have had active breeds and know what to expect, you will undoubtedly fall in love with Philly.
Please apply here if you are a good fit and feel you have the experience, patience, and willingness to train and manage a puppy.
