Patron
Patron is a stunning two-year-old liver roan-patched male German Shorthaired Pointer who was rescued with another female GSP as part of a breeding pair. Patron has no AKC paperwork or championship lines, and likely sired many pups for a backyard breeder. Despite this, he is a gorgeous dog with, albeit shy, a great personality, and we believe he deserves a loving and permanent home.
Although Patron was initially quite shy and easily overwhelmed, he has made remarkable progress in building trust and confidence since being with us. We have found that he responds well to positive reinforcement techniques like treats and pets, which have helped him gain confidence in people and overcome his shyness. Patron is a sweet and gentle soul eager to please, and we believe he has so much love to give to the right family.
Patron is a true water dog and absolutely loves playing with the hose! He is always eager to help fill his water bucket or water the garden, and his playful antics never fail to bring a smile to our faces. Although he was initially shy, he has spent time and gotten along well with other well-socialized pups and could be a great candidate for a multi-dog home. One of the most surprising things about Patron is how well-behaved he is on walks - despite his boundless energy, he never pulls on the leash!

Age: 2

What our volunteers are saying about Patron:
* Very affectionate.
* Much more confident and outgoing than the the last time I worked with him.
* Very good on leash, very friendly and affectionate.
* A bit timid when putting him on the leash and the first five minutes of a walk, but then very happy.
* Loves to play with other dogs
Patron is a sweet and lovable young GSP who deserves a home where he can receive the love and attention he craves. While he still exhibits some shyness, he has come a long way and has shown remarkable progress in building trust and confidence. He is an active boy who loves to play and explore, especially in the water.
If you can provide Patron with a loving forever home where he can get the exercise and attention he needs, please submit an adoption application today.
