Billy Bob is a handsome, medium-sized one-year-old male liver-colored German Shorthaired Pointer with a sleek coat and a friendly, alert expression. He showed up as a stray at a local animal shelter and was soon rescued by California GSP Rescue. We can't imagine why anyone would abandon such a wonderful dog with such tremendous potential! Billy Bob is a playful, energetic, and affectionate dog who loves to spend time with people and other dogs. He has a great personality and would make a wonderful addition to any family.

Billy Bob is a playful and energetic young GSP who loves to run, jump, and play. While he is generally friendly and affectionate, he can exhibit some dominant behavior that we are working to correct. Specifically, he sometimes tries to hump other dogs during playtime, which is a behavior that we are working to fix. Billy Bob spends a lot of time playing with other well-socialized GSP’s and does excellent, so we believe he would thrive in a multi-dog home where the dogs can keep up with his high energy level. Finding a forever home with active, tolerant, and well-socialized dogs is crucial to Billy Bob being placed in a multi-dog home.

While he is active and still behaves like he is a puppy, Billy Bob can be sweet. He will sometimes gently nibble you with his front teeth for attention, which is a behavior that needs to be corrected. It's likely that he was never taught not to do this in his previous home. While he displays some puppy behavior that needs correcting, he also has a sweet side and loves to give soft kisses. His new family will need to work with him on appropriate behavior and training to help him become the best dog he can be.
