Julio

Julio

Julio is a five-year-old male Pointer. He is a little reserved, and may take some time to come out of his shell. However, once he warms up to you, he is a real love.

He came to the shelter as a stray, and we worked out arrangements with Robin at Brittany Rescue to assist. Robin was amazing; she was able to have Julio neutered and a growth, and a few skin tags removed. In addition, Julio was diagnosed and treated for Valley Fever. He finished his course of Fluconazole, medication to treat Valley Fever, and was retested recently by Dr. Kang. He tested negative and is ready for his forever home.

Julio, while he may not care to engage, has been good with other dogs. He would do best in a home with well-socialized calmer dogs, rather than rambunctious young pups. He hasn't been around children, and would be best in a home without children or older children.

Julio's forever home will need to be a patient individual willing to work with this lovable boy, taking a gentle approach to training. He is very much a homebody, but will still need exercise. A quiet morning, or evening stroll would be good. He doesn't require the amount of activity of younger German Shorthaired Pointers. Julio has a lot of love to give to the adopter willing to invest the time. If you feel you would be a good fit for this lovable guy, and have room in your home and heart for Julio, please apply here.
