Jersey
Jersey is an approximately 1-year-old female German Shorthair Pointer. She is white with liver patches and speckles, a liver head, and a distinctive full tail. Jersey was rescued from a high-kill shelter and has had very little training. She is full of energy and will play all day. She will need someone to give her the exercise and training - both obedience and on a leash.
She is a very high-energy GSP that needs a home that is dedicated to seeing she gets exercised daily. Walking a mile or even two will not do, and she needs at least thirty minutes of intensive exercise twice a day. In addition, she will need mental stimulation during downtime. A variety of toys that can be switched out, interactive toys, and toys that involve human interaction will all help keep her mentally stimulated and from being bored.
Jersey is a little overexuberant for homes with children, and she will likely knock them over in her excitement and playful behavior. She could be considered a candidate for a multi-dog home or as an only dog. In a multi-dog home, she will need to be managed as she is eager and forward when wanting to play.
Jersey came in with a small bump on her shoulder. Concerned, we had Dr. Kang check her out, and he determined it was scar tissue.
