Darcy

Darcy is a stunning two-year-old female German Shorthaired Pointer with a sleek black coat. She was rescued as a stray from a local animal shelter, and has since been waiting for a loving forever home. We are surprised that her previous owner never came to claim her because she is a real gem.

When Darcy was first rescued, she was hesitant around other dogs, mainly when many of them were playing in the field. However, she has since built up her confidence and now loves playing with well-socialized dogs. She would be a great fit in a multi-dog home, but she may not be a fan of smaller pups who are still learning manners.

We've discovered that Darcy loves hugs when they are given correctly. She enjoys the coziness and pressure of being wrapped in a blanket, similar to the comfort dogs get from wearing a Thundershirt. Although she has not exhibited any separation anxiety, it's good to know that something like a Thundershirt could be helpful if she does. However, what she truly needs is regular exercise and companionship.

Darcy is a young, active, and sweet GSP who needs a family committed to giving her the exercise and training she needs. She is intelligent and will be a quick learner. Most importantly, Darcy needs someone to provide her with the love and attention she craves and has lacked.
