Bubba

Bubba is a one-year-old male German Shorthaired Pointer Mix. He was picked up as a stray by an animal shelter before being rescued by California GSP Rescue. He is young and, while active, a little mellower than his purebred cousins. He'll need daily exercise to keep him tired and out of trouble, but less than a GSP. 

We learned Bubba is housetrained and knows how to use a doggy door. He impressed his Foster Dad by not having one accident and always using the doggy door. In addition, he slept each night quietly in a crate. He knew "sit" when rescued from the animal shelter and has sat well for treats. 

Bubba has done well around other dogs, both young and old. He knows when to leave the older dogs alone! He did well walking on a leash and staying close by, but needed a little work when walking near barking dogs or cars. He appeared to be afraid of both.

The good stuff: He is well-socialized and did well with dogs of all ages. Crate trained. Knows how to use a doggy door. 

The challenges: Needs some work walking on a leash. Jumps up when excited to see you.
