Bridget

Bridget is a 13-year-old female German Shorthaired Pointer that is about as easy as it gets when adopting a GSP. She is full of love and doesn't demand a lot of exercise. In fact, she might be content just walking with you to the mailbox as long as there is a pet or treat in it for her.

She likes to come up to you and stand in front of you until you notice and pet her. If you don't notice her, she is likely to nudge or lean into you. She has learned that this will usually get her a pet or two.

Bridget isn't fond of young dogs or even older dogs that get in her space. While she has been okay in most social settings, she hates when dogs get in her face or too close, attempting to engage her to play. If the dogs keep their distance and leave her alone, Bridget is okay. Even on walks, she doesn't pay too close attention to the dogs she meets. She would probably do best in a home without any other dogs or small children.

She was recently seen by Dr. Kang, who gave her a clean bill of health. We can share his exam with anyone interested. He said removing the few lipomas would only be for cosmetic reasons. Her teeth are in pretty good shape with just a little tarter.

Bridget would love to be the only dog to a retired person or couple. She is house-trained and knows how to use the doggy door. She doesn't pull on a leash, or at least not as bad as any dog half her age.

If you have the perfect home for Bridget and would like to meet her, we encourage you to apply here on the website today. If you cannot adopt and would like to help find Bridget a home, please share her post. We know the perfect home is looking for her!
