Baron
Meet Baron, an absolutely adorable 6-month-old liver male German Shorthaired Pointer (GSP) pup! Baron's journey to California GSP Rescue is a pretty unique one. He's the offspring of Johnny and June, a pregnant female GSP found as a stray just before June was about to give birth. Due to the limited capacity at the shelter, they reached out to California GSP Rescue, where Baron has been cared for until he could find his forever home. And now, the time has come for you to be a part of Baron's extraordinary adventure.
While Baron's cuteness is undeniable, it's essential to understand the exercise and training needs of owning a GSP puppy like Baron. Beyond his adorable appearance, a significant investment of time and effort is required for his development. Over the next few months, Baron will need extra attention, but he's incredibly intelligent and quick to learn. What he needs most is a dedicated individual who can provide the necessary training, including house training.
Just like all GSP’s, Baron will have a daily exercise requirement that's essential for his well-being. Be prepared to spend approximately an hour each day ensuring he gets the proper exercise he needs. In the next several months, focus on activities designed to provide both mental and physical stimulation. As he grows older, physical activities can become more exercise-oriented. Providing Baron with the right amount of exercise will greatly improve his training. Training should become more manageable as long as he continues to receive consistent exercise as he matures. This commitment will extend to at least forty-five minutes daily for the next five years.

Baron got his name from the iconic Johnny Cash, which seemed fitting given his parents' names, Johnny and June. While his name may change as he becomes part of your family, the commitment to providing him with exercise and training must remain steadfast.
