Wyck Is Adopted!
Wyck was found as a stray and picked up by another rescue and they reached out to us to see if we could help. We couldn’t say no to this sweet handsome frosted face, and we knew we would be able to place him in a forever home.
Quentin was a previous adopter, and applied to adopt a senior dog after his GSP, Dexter sadly passed away. Quentin was very familiar with the breed, and knew he didn’t want a young crazy GSP, but a more seasoned and mellow boy to keep each other company to cruise the beaches together and stop for lunches at the local dog friendly establishments. He needed a dog that would enjoy riding in a car, and one that would get along with other dogs and people alike.
The timing of his application couldn’t have been more perfect, as Wyck had just recently come into our Rescue family, and seemed to be exactly what Quentin was looking for. We introduced them, and it seemed like they had known each other for years. Quentin said “your match was right on… he is so perfect”. Wyck found his forever home with Quentin! We checked in with the boys to see how they are doing.
“I’m only too glad to reply and report on how wonderful my adoption of Wyck went. This was the second GSP I’ve adopted and I have nothing but great things to report on both. Unfortunately my doggie prior to Wyck, Dexter, got cancer and it took him well before his time.
I’ve had no issues with Wyck. His foster home said he had some issues with walking on the leash, however I bought a “Gentle Leash” and he responded to it perfectly. He is just an all around wonderful dog and a real blessing to me. He is so well mannered around here. The neighbors love him and visit. His walks are perfect now and enjoyable. I just love this boy.
I highly recommend this breed to others looking around for a lifetime companion. The GSP Rescue is as professional and caring as any I’ve ever worked with and this breed will be the one I have from now on. Teri and the organization have been wonderful to work with, and she and I still stay in touch and always will. All the best to you”.
