Tashi is Adopted!
While Tashi was in foster care, her foster family were able to get to know her personality. They affectionately nicknamed her "Tashi-Monster", not because she was a monster but because this very young female needed so much exercise and played so many of her waking hours. She was in foster care for quite a long time while looking for that right family for her.Jeff and Melissa are regular volunteers and long time adopters. They recently had adopted Buster, who had been hit by a car, committing to continuing Buster's rehabilitation. Melissa has been in school and had not been at the rescue quite as regularly, but was able to make it out on a Saturday. She came out and mentioned Tashi to Jeff suggesting a female GSP might be a nice addition to their home. Jeff was hesitant as he didn't want to take a very young desirable GSP.While we understood his hesitation, Tashi's foster family wanted a family that was just right for Tashi giving her a sibling and the exercise and training that she REQUIRES!. So for as much as Jeff didn't want to take a young GSP like Tashi, we felt we matched Jeff as the right adopter for this little girl.Jeff has setup a harness and pull system for the dogs to exercise while pulling him on the bike. He takes them for swims in the lake and keeps up on their training regularly. Both dogs are happy and healthy and thriving in their care.
