We are very excited to announce our 7th Pints for Pointers event coming this October once again at The Waterside Restaurant and Wine Bar in the beautiful Channel Islands Harbor in Oxnard!The Waterside Restaurant and Wine Bar is a classy spot offering local new American fare & cocktails, plus live music out on the patio overlooking the harbor. Join us for an evening of fantastic food, beer, wine, incredible music by Karen Eden and Bill McPherson!More about Karen and Bill...Aussie singer songwriter and session vocalist with the amazing voice, Karen Eden signed to Glassnote/Columbia Records with her band Eden aka in 1998 and toured with Sarah McLachlan's Lilith Fair. Stephen Stills guested on her album on the band's version of "Helplessly Hoping". Backing vocalist for Michael McDonald, Kylie Minogue and Chris Rea to name a few. Karen has always been a huge supporter of rescue, and will be debuting her soon to be released new original single just for us!Bill McPherson is the consummate professional. For the last 38 years he has been a full time musician, performing, composing, touring, teaching and recording. On tour and in the studio he has had the pleasure of working with many great and talented artists. Bill's guitar styles embrace the blues, R&B, afro-pop, rock, latin, jazz, Brazilian, folk, country and pop. His band Native Vibe has twice been voted into the Grammy Awards voting process.You don't want to miss this event! Bring your dog to relax on the patio overlooking the harbor. With your support......we buy food and soft, warm bedding for our dogs,...we microchip, vaccinate and alter all rescued GSPs,...we provide examinations at intake, and medical care as needed,...we pay necessary fees to adopt out dogs at the shelters,...we provide continuing education of GSP care and training,...we increase rescue presence in Southern California,...and we continue our campaign to find loving permanent homes to the dogs.
