Meet Minnie!

Meet Minnie!  Minnie is a 4 year old black and white pointer on the medium to smaller side, and has an incredibly sweet disposition. We have noticed that if you start out scratching her ears, you will find Minnie rolling over for belly rubs! She is a dog that would prefer snuggling and pets, even over playing ball! Minnie is spunky and excited, but also has that calmer and more adult demeanor that you wouldn't expect from a dog this age. If you ask anyone with pointer or GSP experience, they will tell you this is a great age for this energetic breed! Although she doesn't really romp and play with the other dogs, Minnie is good with most other dogs, and enjoys following the pack around almost as much as she enjoys following the volunteers around! Even though Minnie is good with the other dogs at the rescue's play field, she may not be at her best with another female in the home and would probably do better with a male canine companion. Of course, Minnie would be happy to be the only dog in the home, and the center of attention!Minnie seems to have little to no obedience training, but should learn quickly as she always has her eyes on her people. She enjoys her walks and frequently checks in with you. Minnie came into the shelter as a stray with another pointer, Mickey. We aren't sure if they were a pair, but it seems likely they are, and the two dogs do get along well. However, Minnie and Mickey are doing just fine on their own at the rescue and don't seem dependent on each other at all, so they don't need to be adopted together. Minnie is clearly confident and happy in most all situations!
