Meet Madison!

Madison is a 1 1/2 year old beautiful young female German Shorthaired Pointer. She was relinquished to us when her owner's situation changed and he was no longer able to give this very energetic girl the daily exercise and attention a young GSP needs.Madison is very sweet, and loves being around people. She prefers people over dogs, and can be possessive over toys with other dogs. She has had some training, and knows quite a few commands such as "Sit", "Lay Down", "Shake", "Roll Over", and "Bang-Bang". She does pull on a leash, so she will need some work on that. She loves to toss around the ball, and to play fetch and will retrieve it out of the water. Madison would do best in a home where someone works from home, or can take her to work with them. She loves the company of her people, and exhibits some separation anxiety when left alone. We also feel that she would be best as an only dog due to some past behavior with resource guarding with other dogs, or with someone who has the experience to manage her with another dog with slow introductions and socialization.  Ideally, we would like to see her go to a home with an active person or family, as it is essential to be able to give her the continued training and daily exercise she requires in order for her to thrive. If you feel your lifestyle would be a good fit for Madison, please apply here.
