Meet Kermit!

Kermit is an 8 year old liver and roan male German Shorthaired Pointer. He was found as a stray, and taken to a remote shelter. We are scratching our heads as to why he wasn't claimed at the shelter, but thankfully, he was picked up and taken into a temporary foster care program.  When he wasn't adopted, they reached out to us to see if we could take him to find him a forever home with someone that knows the breed. Of course, we were happy to help. Our volunteer Betsy who wasn't far from where Kermit was, offered to pick him up for us, and kept him at her home for a couple of days until we could arrange transport for the rest of the way to the rescue.  We have found Kermit to be as sweet as he is handsome, and he absolutely loves getting attention and affection from people, and as a typical GSP, will return it tenfold. He does well with other dogs, both male and female. He walks well on a leash, but pulls a little bit. He appears to have had some training, and does know a few commands. We have also learned that he is a counter surfer. Aren't all GSP's counter surfer's? The perfect home for Kermit would be in a home with a loving active family who will be able to continue his training, be sure he gets plenty of exercise, and love him forever. If you are interested in Kermit or any of our available dogs needing a home, please apply here.
