Meet Izzy!

Izzy is a petite approximately 2-3 year old female German Shorthaired Pointer.  She has a liver head and a ticked body.  She is gentle with her people, but would be best in a home with adults or older children. She is a gentle companion with other dogs.  She walks well in the yard and appreciates having another four legged friend to guide her. She knows few commands, and will need an home that is patient and can help her learn the very basic commands.Izzy has a few "ticks" that we believe are the result of an early puppy illness.  We do not believe this behavior will get worse (she is recovered from the illness), but with training, exercise, good nutrition and possible medication, her condition may improve slightly or stay the same.  Because of this, she will need adopters (people and dogs), in the home that are gentle, and are interested in helping give her guidance and attention.If you think you can help Izzy reach her full potential and have a heart to help a wonderful special needs GSP, please complete our adoption application here.Izzy is currently in foster care.
