Meet Greta!

Greta is an 8 year old beautiful female German Shorthaired Pointer.We were notified about Greta, when she was taken to a shelter, after being found as a stray, found wandering alone, emaciated and scared. When she was picked up by local animal control, they scanned for a microchip, but did not find one. Being an older dog in a remote shelter, her chance of being adopted was going to be challenging. When her owners did not claim her during her stray hold, as soon as she was made available, we wasted no time to pull her.Greta is as sweet as she is charming, and is definitely one of our volunteer favorites.Greta loves people, and gets along with other dogs. She is a pretty easy going gal, but loves her daily walks, and always comes up for pets and attention. She LOVES getting attention, and will give it right back!She loves to ride in the car, and would make a great little traveling companion. She walks well on a leash, loves water, and knows the command "stay". Greta's perfect home would be with someone who will give her the love and attention she deserves. She will give it back to you tenfold! Daily walks are a must, and a bonus would be for her new family to work with her on commands.
