Meet Coconut!
Coconut (Coco for short) is a 2 1/2 year old white with liver female German Shorthaired Pointer. Coconut is a big girl for her age, but she is not overweight. Coco was surrendered to us when her owner decided it would be best to place her elsewhere, as his circumstances changed, and was not able to give her the attention, exercise and training she needs.Coco gets along well with other dogs, and loves people. We caution her going to a home with small children, as her abundance of energy would be too overwhelming for a young child. Coco has had some hunt training, and she has a strong prey drive, so a home with cats would not be ideal. Coco is crate trained. She lived outside in her previous home, so she would need to be house trained to enjoy the benefits of being a family member inside the home.Coconut is very smart and attentive. She needs some work on a leash, but we have learned that she does know a few commands such as stay, sit, lay down, points, fetch, release, "in" (command to go into about anything: fence area, kennel, crate, back of SUV, etc.). She also loves to play fetch, and will bring the ball back to you.Coco will thrive in a home where she will get plenty of exercise and continued training with plenty of love and attention and be made a part of the family. If you have an active lifestyle, and have the time to spend training and exercising Coconut, please apply here.Be sure to check out our Facebook Page for more photos of Coco!
