Jasper is Adopted!

Debra and her family were looking for a young companion for their GSP Lexi, and also one that would do well with their cats.  Although we do cat testing, we are encouraged to place a dog in a cat home with an adopter that is willing to manage the introductions correctly and is also open to bring in a trainer if needed.When Jasper went home with Debra, there were some challenges.  Not only was Jasper VERY interested in the cats, but we also found out he could open doors!Well Debra and her family, despite the work ahead of them that a young GSP requires, were willing to do what it took to make it work, and has made much improvement with the cats and getting the training and exercise he needs to thrive.We recently received an update of Jasper and his new family at the river where he watched his new sister, Lexi riding on a paddle board with Debra's daughter, waiting for his turn to learn this new sport.Thank you to Debra and her family for using the tools we gave them to acclimate Jasper into their home, and for their love and patience for this very special boy.
