Henry is Safe!
On Tuesday night California GSP Rescue was notified by another Rescue about Henry, a GSP in a shelter in Southern California. Wednesday morning there were several new emails letting us know about this adult male needing to be rescued. We immediately contacted the shelter to let them know we could assist with the stray whose hold time was up. Knowing adult dogs at remote shelters do not receive the interest from potential adopters as do the younger dogs and can be at a higher risk for being put to sleep, California GSP Rescue immediately made plans to get Henry. On Thursday, with the help of long time Volunteer Sandy who was able to transport him, Henry found his way one step closer to his forever home. As an all volunteer organization, each dog that is rescued depends on individuals like Sandy who are willing to give their time to help. We thank Sandy and all the other volunteers that make up California GSP Rescue.
