Gracie (formerly Magic) gives us a first glimpse at her new happy life...
My name is Gracie and I wanted to tell everyone about my new family and fur-ever home in Laguna Beach!My new family is full of 3 big and 2 little people who love to pet to me. I have two Vizsla brothers, Toby and Hunter, who have lots of energy like me. Toby is 9 years old and Hunter is 3. Hunter thinks that he’s the boss and can get possessive with his toys sometimes but he’s really fun to run with.When I came to my new home, my mom got me a new black leather collar with lavender crystals on it and a matching leash.My new family takes all three of us on 2 hour walks every morning and even lets us run off leash for a while. I stay close to Hunter when the leashes are off because the hills are new territory for me and he seems to know where the good places to run and point are. I’m getting to know the regulars who run the trails with us and it’s a variety of breeds of dogs.My new mom and one of the little people love to run with Hunter and me in the evening! That’s when we have to stay on leash the whole time, which is a little challenging for me. The evening runs are a lot of fun because they are 6 to 12 mile jaunts with potty breaks, stops for water and treats. My mom is friends with the owner of a local dog bakery so we get to eat extra frosting and all the broken cookies that the store can’t sell.Speaking of food, WOW! My mom cooks the BEST turkey and whole wheat macaroni, chicken and rice, or steak and potato dinners! Sometimes we even get eggs and vegetables in the morning! When mom doesn’t have time to cook, she buys the meals from a local dog food store. It’s a good thing my new family is so healthy and active or we all would have to get bigger collars!There are so many things to tell you about that I can’t possibly think of all of them but I wanted to give you a glimpse into my new life so that you don’t have to wonder about me anymore.
