Diamond is Safe!

Diamond showed up at a remote shelter a few weeks ago, and California GSP Rescue learned of her when shelter volunteer, Carol, emailed about another previously adopted GSP from the shelter that had been returned.Arranging transport for two GSPs isn't that much more difficult than arranging transport for one, however, finding individuals that have the time and are able to transport from remote shelters isn't always easy. Fortunately, we had the assistance from Animal Control Officer (ACO) Dolsie who was able to coordinate from her end as well as our own volunteer David who was able to make the drive to the remote shelter and help transport Diamond. In just a few days after learning about Diamond, plans for her rescue were in place and a week ago Saturday, Volunteer David spent much of this day getting Diamond one step closer to her forever home.A big thanks to shelter volunteer Carol for reaching out to California GSP Rescue; ACO Dolsie for making arrangements to have Diamond ready when David arrived, and to Volunteer David who spent the better part of his Saturday helping get Diamond to safety.As an all volunteer organization, California GSP Rescue success relies on dedicated individuals like David, but also many other volunteers that are willing to give their time to transport, work and train dogs, care for the dogs, make appointments, answer emails, correspond with applicants as well as adopters, and many other things that are needed.
