Rylee

Rylee is a sweet and beautiful one-year-old female German Shorthaired Pointer. She has a beautiful white coat with liver patches and spots. We picked up Rylee from a shelter after being dumped in a field with two of her siblings and left for dead. Who does this???

She initially is timid; however, slowly, she is coming around as she learns to build trust. While quick movements and actions can sometimes spook her, she is comfortable with someone approaching to give her pets. Rylee is very affectionate and likes attention once you earn her trust.

Rylee has done well with other well-socialized dogs and likes to play - just not too robustly. She has been submissive if a confrontation arises and has been known to steal toys and hide them to play with later by herself.

While not blind, Rylee does seem to have a vision issue that affects her depth and peripheral vision. She needs someone with patience and a gentle hand - someone able to introduce her slowly to new situations and environments, allowing her to blossom at her own pace.

The Challenges: Can be fearful when put in a new, unfamiliar environment.
