Raven
Raven is a ten-month-old female German Shorthaired Pointer with a liver and white patched coat and cropped tail. Despite her stunning looks and sweet disposition, Animal Control picked her up as a stray, and her owner never claimed her. Luckily, California GSP Rescue rescued her from the high-kill shelter.
When we first got Raven, the Animal Shelter had said she had a fungus, but our Vet diagnosed her with oral papillomas, a virus that affects young dogs under two. While it can be contagious to young and senior dogs, dogs between two and seven with mature immune systems seldom get it. Unfortunately, this means that Raven hasn't been able to play with other dogs as much as she would like, but she has a great attitude and gets along well with humans and dogs alike.
Raven is incredibly sweet and gentle and has a lot of love to give. Although she is young, she is also intelligent and a fast learner. She will need plenty of exercise and training, but someone willing to put in the effort will be rewarded with a fantastic companion.
The Basics:
Gender: Female

The good stuff: Timid on the leash but doesn't pull
The challenges: Unable to play with other young dogs
What our volunteers are saying about Raven:
* Wants all your love
* Greets you by shoving herself through your legs and wagging
* Wiggle worm
* When she wags, she shakes her whole body.
If you have experience with dogs and are willing to work with Raven on her training, you could give her a second chance at a loving home. Despite her temporary condition, her previous owner most likely discarded her because they knew no better. Apply to adopt Raven today and help her find the forever home she deserves.
