Orion

Orion is a 2-year-old male German Shorthaired Pointer Mix. He was rescued from an animal shelter in the Sierras after being dumped in an area where many stray dogs were being picked up as strays. The animal shelter was able to research and find his original owners who had given him away a few months prior. Rather than giving him back, the new owner did the unthinkable. 

Orion is a mix between a GSP and a Hound. He is young and a little goofy but oh so loveable. The GSP in him means he still needs considerable exercise - he isn't a couch potato until he is pooped out! At two years of age, this means a good run of 30 minutes or more at least once daily. Orion's original owner re-homed him because they didn't have the time to give him the exercise he needed. 

Orion has had some training but will need a refresher course and continued training. He knows a few commands but will need someone to dedicate time to continue training him. Undoubtedly, the person who can do this will have a fantastic dog. 

Orion pulls some on a leash but knows "sit." He has been good with other well-behaved dogs. He also learned how to use a doggy door and appears housetrained.
