Motzi

Motzi is a sweet, beautiful, young two-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer Mix with a slightly longer liver and white coat with patches and spots. Motzi was rescued from a local animal shelter after she had been dumped with her puppies at an apartment complex. She sat with four of her pups, fearful of most humans that passed her kennel.

Since leaving the back kennel of the animal shelter, Motzi has made substantial progress in building her confidence and learning to trust. While certain unexpected or loud noises can sometimes strike fear in her, she now looks to her foster parents for guidance, knowing she'll be protected.

A lot of time has been spent with Motzi over the past several months. Initially, she was reluctant to trust her foster parents, and wouldn't listen. Unsure of their intent, she would often hide. However, the love and care they provided reassured her that they meant no harm.

The Basics:

Gender: Female

Age: 2 years

Dogs:  Gets along with friendly dogs

Cats: get along and interacts well

Kids: Unknown but has been good with well-behaved 6+ year-olds

The Good Stuff:

Showing she is confident in her interactions with humans. Comfortable with most other dogs. She is showing interest in toys - probably something she has never had.

The Challenges:

She was very timid early on and will need a gentle hand for continued training. She'll need someone who is understanding and can help her continue on her path, building her confidence.

Motzi will need a special home. Possibly one with well-socialized dogs, but we're afraid because of their unpredictability, no small children. If you are reading this, and unable to adopt, please take a moment and share Motzi's story.

If you feel you could be the right person to give Motzi a loving home, please take a moment to submit an adoption application, and our dedicated volunteers will reach out to you shortly.

Furthermore, if you would like to make a difference and support our ongoing efforts in assisting dogs like Motzi, we invite you to consider becoming a Rescue Hero. Your contribution can help make a difference and create a brighter future for all the rescued dogs.
