Brie

Brie is a 5-month-old female German Shorthaired Pointer mix breed. She is solid black with white markings and an undocked tail. California GSP Rescue rescued Brie from being euthanized at a local Animal Shelter. Animal Control picked her up and took her to the animal shelter after being dumped in an apartment complex with her mother and siblings. While she and her siblings were extremely timid, California GSP Rescue couldn't let this shy young girl be put to sleep and was confident with a bit of patience and a lot of love; she would make someone a fantastic pet.

While we know Brie was dumped at an apartment complex and caught by animal control before being taken to the animal shelter, we can only speculate how she got to where she was found. At the animal shelter, she and her siblings were extremely shy and fearful of people. Since then, we have been working with her to build trust and confidence and are happy to report she is making great progress.

Brie is a cutie and a quick learner. She loves, “emphasizing loves”, playing, and being around other dogs. We have found this has helped learning routines. She knows how to use a doggy door and is 99% house-trained. She has done well with positive reinforcement training and is motivated by treats and food. She is also crate trained and does well on a dog bed but has been known to "dig" a hole in some dog beds! She needs someone patient, gentle, and understanding to continue her training and socialization and would do well in a home with a well behaved socialize dog that will help build her confidence.
