Hachiko

Hachiko means "faithful" in Japanese, and that he is. Hachiko is a 5 year old male German Shorthaired Pointer. He is a great dog, and, while not a dog for everyone, for the person that can manage him, he’ll be a treasure. He loves playing fetch, which is a great way of getting him his daily exercise. He also loves the water, so if you have a pool, he’s going to LOVE it! If you don’t, a kiddie pool will do for him to play on warm days. He won’t know the difference. We promise.

Hachiko is mellow and at his age, needs much less exercise than a young dog. While he loves playing fetch, a long walk would work. He is responsive and wants to please. In the right home with training, he will flourish.

He is not a candidate for a multi-dog home or a home with children. His ideal home would be with one or two people in a quiet home with few visitors.

A family that will continue working with and training him along with giving him daily exercise will be the ideal home for Hachiko.

Great dog

I absolutely adore this boy! He was patiently waiting for me to hook him up for the walk. He doesn’t pull, he lets me love on him, he is super chill on the walk, super sweet. He’d be a great dog in the right home, with someone who can manage him.
