Chasser

Chasser

Meet Chasser, the stunning 1.5-year-old male German Shorthaired Pointer mix with a beautiful black and white roan coat. Rescued alongside another GSP from a local high-kill shelter, this charming canine has already won over the hearts of many. Chasser is a true sight to behold, with oversized ears that add to his undeniable charm and warm brown eyes that stand out against his coat, captivating anyone who gazes upon him. But his journey from the Animal Shelter to the California GSP Rescue to his Foster home is just the prologue to his extraordinary tale. With your help, we're determined to write the happy ending Chasser so deserves. Read on to see if you might be the perfect match to join in and compose the rest of his heartwarming story.

Chasser, a social butterfly, effortlessly befriends other dogs and loves playful chasing and "wrestling." While he's friendly with people, we have yet to introduce him to young children. He's learning leash manners but shows excellent potential as a well-behaved walking companion and has already mastered the "sit" command.

Beneath his endearing charm lies a touch of mischief, occasionally attempting to grab food from the counter. Nevertheless, he takes treats gently and adores affection from those around him. Chasser interacts wonderfully with everyone at home, and his boundless energy thrives during walks and runs. Yet, he remains calm and content back home, sleeping peacefully in his crate, even with the door open. Ongoing training and an active lifestyle are crucial for his continued growth and happiness. A secure home with a playful dog companion would be an ideal setting for this lovable canine.

The Basics:

Gender: Male

Age: 1.5 years old

Dogs: Great. Loves playing and being in the mix with well-socialized playful dogs.

Cats: unknown

Kids: unknown

The good stuff: Loves playful dogs and toys.

The challenges: Will need training. Stuffed animals and blankets could be at risk in a home.

What our volunteers are saying about Chasser:

* Sits nicely to wait to put his leash on and off.

* Big floppy ears. They flop in the wind when he runs. Sits like a gentleman when tired in the field.

To continue nurturing Chasser's potential and ensuring his happiness, he needs someone committed to providing him with the exercise, training, and care he needs. An added possible bonus would be a forever home with a playmate to keep him engaged.

If you're ready to embark on a heartwarming journey with Chasser and offer him the loving forever home he so deserves, don't hesitate to submit an adoption application. Your affection and attention could be the missing piece that completes Chasser's tale, turning it into a story of love, joy, and lifelong companionship.
