Simon's Journey!

Simon dsc_9310 w64Simon began his journey to a forever home with a wonderful foster family that happen to be former adopters and knowledgeable GSP owners.Simon is one of two dogs in our care that seems to have a neurological "tick" - possibly from a puppy-hood disease. He seems to have a slight issue with the sight in one eye (although he loves to play ball!), and has a funny, cute little "kick" in his back leg when he's walking.  His foster family has been working with Simon to get him relying on the leg and walking normally, as well as supporting him with good nutritious food and supplements.Michelle recently emailed us to let us know that they've seen "a world of change!".  They notice that when he first comes out of his crate, he has a little trouble getting his leg going, but once he gets up and moving around, his leg movement is really improving and looking quite normal!Simon is sweet and affectionate with his people, and good with other dogs, and could even live in a home with cats. Although his foster home is giving him lots of love and attention, Simon just can't wait for his forever family, and the beginning of a new journey! You can see the drastic improvement in his gait in the two videos (one shot on day one of foster care and the second on day four of foster care), which we will be sharing with you on our Facebook Page later today. If you are interested in learning more about Sweet Simon, please apply here.
