Meet Trooper!

Trooper is a very handsome adult 5 yr old male German Shorthaired Pointer. He was given to someone that lost their house, and after living on 30+ acres, Trooper was cooped up in a trailer all day while his owner went to work. His owner felt they could not give him the room to run and play, and surrendered him to us to find a more suitable home for him where he can thrive.This fun loving boy does well with other dogs and has even lived with a smaller dog. He loves running and playing with the other dogs in the field.  He is house trained, good on a leash, is responsive with recall, and knows several commands such as "sit", "stay", "shake", and "heel". He also loves water and playing fetch with his favorite toy, a tennis ball!Trooper would do best in a home with another dog as he appears to not like being left alone, and a companion would make a huge difference for him. He loves people and the attention he receives from them, and with his previous family, he did live with children.Trooper will need a secure yard, and a home where he will get plenty of exercise and someone to continue his training.If you feel you would be a good fit for Trooper, please apply here.
