Meet Rusty!

Rusty is an 8 year old very handsome male German Shorthaired Pointer. Don't let his age fool you, as a typical GSP, this boy still has plenty of energy to burn.Rusty came to us as from a remote shelter where he was found as a stray, so we are getting to know him. As we have been learning more about him, we have found that he loves people and is very affectionate towards them, and is good with other dogs, however he would not fair well in a cat home.It appears that Rusty hasn't had much training, and would definitely benefit from a home where someone would be able to give him some training and work with him on leash walking, as he is a puller.  He is very food driven, but not food aggressive, so training him should be fairly easy with some treats.  When we have introduced treats, he sat and shook hands, so he has had some training somewhere. He rides well in a car when tethered, so he would be an excellent road trip buddy.Rusty also does well running alongside the bike, and this would be a great way to exercise him!If you feel your lifestyle would be a good fit for Rusty, please apply here.
