Meet Honey!

Honey is a 4 year old tan and white Pointer Mix that is as cute as a button.Honey arrived at the rescue weighing only 27 lbs. She was found as a stray roaming around during a summer heat wave. She was emaciated, dehydrated, and parts of her pads were raw from walking around on scorching hot surfaces. You can read more about her journey, and her rescue heroes here.  We have continued to see Honey puts on weight and her wounds have healed, and she is now available for adoption.Honey is just as sweet as can be. She loves people and giving and getting attention from them, and will roll over for pets. She prefers other male dogs, but doesn't seem to do well with female dogs.She is good on a leash, and would definitely benefit from some training and exercise. She is young and energetic so an active person or family would be ideal for her.Great and loving dogs don’t just come in liver and white; some are only part GSP, but all wonderful!Dogs like Honey are the reason we take GSP mixes at the California GSP Rescue. They take on many of the wonderful qualities that attract people to the Pointer breed; qualities like affection, energy, loyalty and intelligence  But often the mixes lack some of the more challenging aspects of a GSP, like out of control energy and stubbornness!If you are looking for the energy of a GSP, and are okay with a Pointer Mix, then this just might be the girl for you!
