Meet Champ!

Champ is an 8 year old stunning male German Shorthaired Pointer who came to us from a shelter where his owners surrendered him because Champ became aggressive towards their small dog during feeding time. When asked if they could try separating the dogs during feeding time, they said they didn't know how to do that.Champ is a sweet energetic boy. He has been great with the other dogs in the field with no issues.  He is a bit hand shy around people at first, but has shown that once he gets to know you, he is very affectionate. He walks well on a leash, and knows "sit".  Champ needs to lose some weight, but with the exercise he has been getting lately, he is already beginning to trim down.  This stunning guy has plenty of GSP energy even at 8 years old. After all, 8 is the new 3 for a German Shorthaired Pointer!Champ will need a home where he will get plenty of exercise and training. It is never too late to teach an adult dog new tricks! He will also need a secure yard.If you feel you are a good fit, and are interested in meeting this awesome boy, please apply here. Not in a position to adopt? You can help by making a donation to sponsor Champ to offset the costs to feed and care for him while we look for his forever home![give_form id="33769"]
