Matt is Adopted!

Matt isn't exactly the 4 year old female GSP that Wendy applied for, but as it turns out, he's been a great match for her! When presented with a young female and Matt (7 year old male), Wendy decided that Matt would be harder to find a home for, and decided to open hers! Wendy is exactly right; many people want a younger dog to have more time with the dog. Although it is always hard to loose a dog, Wendy decided however many years she has with this great dog is a wonderful experience! Of course, Matty is energetic and healthy - as most 7 year old GSPs are - and we fully expect they will have many more years together!As for Matt's new life, it is pure GSP nirvana! He gets to go to work with his mom, who is often in her car visiting sporting goods stores and rod and reel stores - so he gets to ride in the car quite often. Can you imagine his excitement each day as those words are spoken? Recently, he discovered the fish at the marina and is pretty sure he would like to jump in and chase them! Since Wendy is quite the fisher-woman, we imagine he will get to try boating and fishing very soon. Wendy tells us Matty is "definitely a keeper" and we look forward to many years of updates of their adventures together!
