Gladys is adopted!
Misunderstood by the shelter and many who met her, Gladys took a little longer than most dogs her age to be adopted. The shelter said she was much older than she is, not knowing the breeding lines she came from are early to gray. Those who visited her at the rescue assumed her all-consuming ball play meant she wouldn't be affectionate or calm in the home - boy were they wrong.Lucky for Gladys, Doreen and her family trusted the observations and judgement of the rescue volunteers and, when they came out to meet Gladys she found her home! They have since written us with updates about Gladys. We were very happy to hear, "She is settling in nicely and is a very calm dog. She loves giving the boys kisses and my hubby was laying on the floor tonight and Gladys jumped right on his stomach wanting to play. It's fun to watch the bonding!"Pictured here is a very happy Gladys, now Sadie, with most of her new family: Doreen, Riley, and Tyler.
