Ellie Mae is Adopted!

Ellie Mae is Adopted! Jackie applied to adopt a German Shorthaired Pointer, and was fairly open in the age range, but wanted a female for her family.  She had a similar breed, a Vizsla, that was about five years old and wanted a companion both for her current dog, for herself and her sons.Ellie Mae had just come into our rescue and, while she was slightly younger than Jackie had hoped, she had all the qualities of being a perfect companion for her entire family.She has renamed Ellie Mae Greta, and is working on potty training successfully with Greta. Jackie reports "Miss Greta is fitting in nicely at our house. I am working on ensuring that she is housebroken and that seems to be going pretty well.... I think she's a fit and the boys love her!"She has already been to the groomer and is winning over hearts in all parts of Jackie's life.We are so happy for Greta and Jackie and her family. This little girl won the hearts of all the volunteers, and it warms our hearts to know Ellie Mae has a new name to go with her new life.Ellie Mae is adopted, but we have more available dogs still waiting for their forever homes.
