Dog Food Recall

On August 14, 2013 Procter and Gamble announced a voluntarily recall for specific lots of its dry pet foods because they may have been contaminated with Salmonella.  Not only can salmonella  affect animals eating the products, there is also a risk to humans from handling contaminated pet products. The products affected come from one specific production plant and include dog, puppy, and cat food under the Eukanuba and Iams labels.
