Darby's Personality

Darby 290x290We've had Darby in foster care for a month now.  It takes about a month to six weeks for a foster dog to settle into a routine and relax enough to really get to know them.  We often tell adopters to give them approximately that time for their new dog to settle into their routine. We've discovered that Darby is quite calm for a puppy of his age (he is approximately 8 months old).  He is content with himself.  He loves people, dogs and children as well as his walks and a rope toy to chew on or carry.  He also loves Starbucks coffee cups and, while walking, can find any hidden coffee cup in the shrubs to carry on his walk.  It is fun to walk with him, have him dart off into the bushes and come back with a coffee cup and a wiggly tail.  There is rarely a walk that goes by where he doesn't find a coffee for the walk. We've also discovered that Darby loves to be with his people.  He will lay in the kitchen and watch you while you make a meal.  When you sit on the couch he likes to sit on your feet or where he can touch you.  When he is in the field he typically is near the people in the field...he is never far from sight.Darby lives with two dogs and plays with them.  He loves dogs and people he meets on his walks and continues to learn manners while walking on a leash.  We don't think he had many walks (if any) before coming to us.Learn more about Darby, and if you are interested in meeting this adorable pup, please complete an adoption application.
