Chelsea is Safe!

Chelsea_A224636w29Last week we received word that an adult GSP had been surrendered to a local Humane Society. This particular Humane Society is well known for having a good adoption rate and working with rescues. However, knowing the interest in adult and older dogs is substantially less than the younger more adoptable dogs, the Humane Society was more than willing to help get this girl to California GSP Rescue.Once we learned that the family that had turned her in had owned Chelsea her whole life and no longer had time for her, we knew she would be better off being placed by a rescue that knows the breed and has interest from adopters in adult and older dogs.Fortunately, Volunteer David was available to pick up Chelsea and help transport. A short time later, Chelsea was on her way to California GSP Rescue and one step closer to her forever home. A big thanks to Rescue Coordinator Lorna for helping coordinate the pickup and Volunteer David for helping transport.Watch our website, for more about Chelsea!
