Cappy is Adopted!

It is our reward as a rescue to get an adoption email such as this where a person has adopted a senior (or any dog) and has enjoyed the dog for all that they are.  Here is an update we received from Lynn, Cappy's new owner shortly after she took him home."Just to let you know that he has settled in quite wonderfully. He travels from dog bed to dog bed throughout the house. Goes outside (USUALLY following Sadie, but will go when asked to) and spends time checking out the yard, etc.The groomers LOVE him – well, EVERYONE loves him! He will see my vet this Friday and then he can relax & enjoy.I take Cappy and Sadie for a walk every evening & he is pretty darn good on a leash! He loves to follow Sadie around, and she, on occasion, feels the need to remind him that she is the boss, but it is all done gently.  Cappy is extremely gentle & careful around Milo, so Milo is not as hesitant coming into a room with the big guy any more.All in all, he LOVES the 72 degree house & the multiple dog beds and has learned that if he is respectful, Sadie will actually let him up on my bed!I can’t thank you enough for allowing this special pup to come home with me."Thank you Lynn! We are so happy for Cappy, and we wish him many new beds to enjoy.
