Belle is Adopted!

Belle had been with us for a while.  We all knew what a good girl she was and how, in the right hands, she would blossom.  She was so friendly and kind with the volunteers and so excited to see us all and go for walks.  She simply had the misfortune of being a GSP mix in a GSP rescue.Along came Kathleen who had been wanting to adopt a dog and was looking for the right personality for her and her two children.  She did not want a young dog as she didn't want the energy and work.  As soon as she saw Belle she said "she's beautiful".   She took Belle home that day.Fast forward a month or so and she has been working with Belle on various aspects of training.  Belle has been great with her children but at times will growl at men that enter her house.  Kathleen has stepped up to give Belle guidance on how she expects Belle to act with new people in the house and Belle is responding  just as we imagined she would...she is doing well.  Belle also has a new cat sibling who she is getting along well with.We appreciate adopters such as Kathleen and her family who know that a young GSP is not always the perfect addition to their lifestyle and who are willing to work with any dog to incorporate them into their life.
