Meet Sage, the remarkable seven-year-old liver roan female German Shorthaired Pointer. This captivating canine's story began when her previous owner faced the heart-wrenching decision to give up their pet for seven years due to a change in living arrangements. They had downsized and were moving into a smaller home.

Sage was a member of a lively pack of Pointers in her previous home, sharing the space with four other furry friends. While friendly toward fellow canines, she displays a hint of assertiveness at feeding time. Previously free-fed, Sage occasionally showed a touch of bossiness around the food dish, ensuring her place was secured. Perhaps her inclination to satisfy her hunger and her preference for the cozy comforts of her dog bed contributed to her carrying a few extra pounds.

Yes! Sage defies all expectations of a typical GSP by embracing her inner couch potato. Sage prefers to lounge on her bed than go for a walk. She's here to prove that even in the world of high-energy breeds, a few opt for R&R. However, California GSP Rescue highly recommends regular exercise for GSP’s of all ages.

Did well going for a short walk. She followed and didn't pull
Appears to be a couch potato. After putting on the leash, she pulls toward the bed avoiding going out the door.
