Nellie is a stunning 3-year-old liver roan female German Shorthaired Pointer. This adorable pup had a rough start in life, finding herself as a stray at a local animal shelter before being adopted and later returned. Due to the shelter's overcrowding, they were unable to keep her until a suitable forever home was found, leading them to seek help from California GSP Rescue.

Nellie embodies all the traits of a typical young GSP, requiring daily exercise and ongoing training to thrive - perhaps the lack of understanding from her previous owner regarding the breed's needs led to her unfortunate stay at the animal shelter. Presently, she receives at least forty-five minutes of exercise daily and is progressing splendidly. Transitioning into a new home, Nellie will benefit from someone dedicated to working with her on refining house manners. Thankfully, she displays responsiveness, and with regular exercise, her training should become less arduous.

Although Nellie hasn't had the opportunity to interact with dogs in a home environment, her interactions with well-socialized dogs have been positive. She exhibits a delightful demeanor and typically prefers to keep to herself. However, on occasion, she enthusiastically engages and enjoys playtime with her furry companions. Given a well-socialized and respectful pack, Nellie could be considered for a multi-dog household, as long as they understand and accommodate her occasional preference for a more reserved mood.
