Cody

Cody is a very handsome 5 year old male German Shorthaired Pointer. Cody came to us from a shelter where he was picked up as a stray, and after the initial examination, he appeared to have been attacked by dogs. Fortunately, his injuries were mostly superficial, and his wounds were cleaned and treated at the shelter, and he was prescribed antibiotics. Cody is now as good as new and looking for his “Forever” Home!

The Basics

Gender: Male

Age: 5

Dogs: Good with other well mannered dogs. Initially uncomfortable. He will need to be socialized with other well mannered dogs and needs to see other dogs can be good. When another dog responds with play he goes from stiff posture to playful bows fairly quickly.

Cats: Unknown

Kids: Unknown

The good stuff: good on a leash, eager for love and craves attention

The challenges: Will need training and socialization with other dogs

What our volunteers are saying about Cody

Cody is always happy to see you. He love pets and craves affection more than playtime. He loves to go for a walk, and will practically put himself in his harness. He is pretty good on a leash, and doesn’t pull much.

Cody is happy and fairly calm for a 5 year old GSP, but is also can be energetic and playful.

Given his past being attacked by other dogs, Cody will need some work with socialization with other dogs with slow introductions and managing him around them.
