Lucky Is Adopted!

Remember Lucky the German Shorthaired Pointer pup who was given up to steal hearts with his wagging tail and playful personality? Well, buckle up because Lucky's found his furever home! Get ready to dive into his month of adventures, including puppy training escapades, poolside fun, and how he's settling in with his new furry friends (including a feline housemate who might just become his new playmate!). His new family wrote the following update.

”We have had an amazing month of adjustments but will say we cannot be happier with our new pack member. The training is going well, he is extremely smart and catches on quickly. He’s extremely birdy. We have two Killdeers in a field north of us that he loves to track on our morning walks. He’s enjoying having a pool to cool his feet in and to get a drink. He has fallen in a couple times, but has always managed to get out either at the steps or side. We will be doing more swimming as it warms up a bit.

Our other two have taken to lucky as well. The female has had a couple of snaps on him when he doesn’t stop, and we had a fight over a stick between them, but it’s since been worked out. All three are in a good routine, and Lucky is fitting right into the pack. Feeding time is done in kennels and they all go into their respective kennels and await feeding. We have not had any issues with food aggression because we do not free feed.

We are starting to focus more on recall so we can do more retrieving in larger areas next. We feel so fortunate to have adopted such a wonderful pup from you, and we continue to follow your videos and contribute to your work”.

Thank you all again,

Jay, Hillary, Kate, Bodhi, Fiona & Lucky
